3 Syrian teachers win the 2021 Global Teacher Award

Three Syrian teachers have won the Global Teacher Award 2021, which is awarded annually to exceptional teachers who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession to build a better society through inspirational teaching.

The award was won by Fadia Ali, Anas Abu Saada and Moamen Al-Hatoum from Syria, along with 97 teachers from 110 countries, according to the results that the organization will announce officially on October 10th.

Fadia Ali explained that she had participated in the award since the second semester of last year and received the result on the first of this September.

She expressed her happiness and pride for winning, along with her colleagues, the global award, which was presented to her by more than 22,000 teachers in the world to register their country’s name in a new achievement.

Teacher Moamen Al-Hatoum said that the stages of registration for the award include filling out a form for the competitor’s personal and professional data, answering several questions, sending a CV and links to model lessons and educational contents that each teacher designed to give to his students to study this data by specialized committees to select the best 100 teachers in the world from among the participants.

Teacher Moamen Al-Hatoum indicated that he presented to the award the links of his own YouTube channel, which include model lessons and exercises on lessons in the developed curricula and lessons through the Syrian educational platforms.

The Syrian teacher, Nagham Ali, won the World Teacher Prize 2020, and videos of her spread through social media, showing her distinguished method of teaching, as she uses her skills in drawing, singing and music to increase student interaction.
